Do you wonder what someone means when they say, "wow, great nose!"? Do you look for the scent of different fruits and herbs in wine? Let's go through some tasting techniques that will help you be wine savvy and ready for any occasion.

Think the 3 S's. Sight, swirl, and swish.

Sight means that the wine shouldn't be cloudy and ranges in color and intensity.

Swirling releases the aroma or 'nose' of the wine. This is where you smell different herbs and fruits.

Swishing the wine around your mouth allows it to hit all areas of your palate; sweet on the tip of your tongue, acid on your cheeks, and the sensation of tannin (the grittiness from red wine).

Finally, enjoy swallowing the delectable Bordeaux juice and experience how long the flavor remains - delicious!
